Customers are responsible for safe installation and use of all hammock products. Hope Hammocks is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from improper hanging, incorrect hardware, misuse, or installation on unsuitable structures.

To ensure the longevity and safe use of your handmade hammock or hammock chair, it must be installed correctly and treated with care. Hang your hammock only from strong, weight-bearing structures—such as solid beams, sturdy tree branches, or professionally installed hardware rated for at least 500 lbs. Customers are responsible for choosing safe anchor points; attaching the hammock to weak or decorative structures (including drywall, thin posts, or curtain rods) can cause injury or damage and is not considered a product defect. Once installed, always ease into the hammock slowly, keeping your weight centered. These hammocks are made for gentle relaxation, not swinging, spinning, jumping, or rough play, as misuse can stretch or break the woven fibers.

Because each hammock is handwoven, thread care is essential. Sharp or abrasive items—such as jewelry, zippers, belt buckles, Velcro, pet claws, and rough shoes—can pull, snag, or fray the threads, as can dragging the hammock on the ground or rubbing it against bricks, unfinished wood, or exposed hardware. If a thread pull occurs, gently guide it back into place rather than cutting it, as cutting can lead to unraveling. Thread pulls or fraying caused by friction, sharp edges, or improper handling are considered normal wear and are not covered under damage claims.
